David Allan Beck, D.D.S. was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico, Dr. Beck graduated with honors from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1977 where he was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental academic honors society. He interned at Charity Hospital of Louisiana at New Orleans for one year and completed Prosthodontics specialty training at the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in June 1980. He joined the faculty of the School of Dentistry, Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University in July 1980. He was certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics in 1986 and recertified in 2004. While on the faculty at VCU/MCV Dr. Beck attained tenure and specialty board certification in the same year. He was director of the Postgraduate Prosthodontics specialty training program for 6 years.
Dr. Beck left VCU as an Associate Professor and entered full time private practice in July 2004; he recently joined the excellent doctors and staff at Grove Avenue Family and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Personal interests include woodworking, carving, painting and travel. Dr. Beck has a son and a daughter and a keen sense of humor. Two of his favorite friends are his Jack Russell terriers, Emma and Zoey.
